“Sweeter, smoother, stranger. The drink of heroes, the drink of the gods. Its a tradition. It seals our bargain.”

The drink of gods, mead is a tradition that transcends pantheons. Gods drink mead to seal deals, they give it as a gift before asking for boons, they drink it to celebrate ascension, they drink it to mark endings and births, they share it with a mortal when they lead the mortal through the mist,

Mortals usually find it sickeningly sweet, while gods compare the taste to liquid gold.

Mead can be purchased from mortals though most gods regard this as cheap fair. Usually gods prefer to make their own,

Rules

  • Mead is the drink of Gods- It ignores the stamina knacks Inner Furnace and Internal Refinery.
  • A deal is a deal but only if its over mead- Mortals often call gods liars or oathbreakers. This is mostly because most gods don’t find promises or contracts binding but a deal over mead is as sacrosanct as it gets. A god who breaks a mead bargain is a pariah to other deities who cannot be trusted.

Making Mead:

Cost: 1 Willpower
Roll: Appearance OR Charisma + Art Culinary.

The mundane ingredients for mead are ridiculously cheap and even a starving god can acquire them relatively easy. The main ingredient is the gods own vitae- which means every god and goddess has their own unique vintage. 1 willpower creates a bottle. The quality of the drink is determined by successes on the roll.
